Check out some of my latest work!!!

2010

36x36 painting, acrylic on canvas. 2010.
This was done for a lady to give as a graduation gift to her husband.
He loved it!!!!  What a nice gift.

This was a custome painting for a bedroom.  Mary loves the Italian landscape.  This painting is large 48x36.  I like the texture on this one I used a medium to build it up.

These paintings I did after taking photos of the Iowa landscape.
14x17 acrylic on paper.  I love to paint barn's.  Sorry for the white glare spots, they were already framed in glass.

This painting is 36x36 acrylic on canvas.  I sold it at the art market to a man who loved it and is putting it as a focal point in his new addition above his fire place.  I think it will look great.

These are miscellaneous paintings I did last summer.  The horse one is one of my very favorite.  It was a 36x36 acrylic on canvas.  I sold it to a fellow who I did a mural for and he will be putting it in his new home as a focal point.  His wife loves horses and had one like the one in the painting.  Very cool, it will look awsome and I'm glad it is in a beautiful spot.

These are fun little field studies 5x7.  These look great as a collection in a room or just one as a little focal point.

I spent many weekends last summer at art shows and festivals.  I love talking to people and meeting people all over the world.  I sold a painting to a lady from England.  Now I have 3 paintings in England.  Cool.

I love this painting.  8x10 acrylic on paper.  I sold this the first time I showed it.  I almost kept this one.  It is in a good place.

This one sold to a patron of mine.  She collects my scenes of country roads.  8x10 acrylic on paper.

This was a potrait that I did for a lady who wanted to give it to her daughter for x-mas.  Her dog was old and she wanted a painting.  14x17 acrylic on paper.

This painting was done for a customer who said she was looking for 30yrs for a painting with a little girl in a field of flowers.  She had seen a different painting that I did and liked it and wanted my to do it similar but with the girl in it.  I think it turned out beautiful, and she loved it. 14x17 acrylic on paper Sept 2011.

This painting was done for a couple that wanted a painting of their first house.  They rented this cottage in Dubuque.  It was a good memory for them and they said that this painting exceeded their expectations.  this was done on board.  20x24 acrylic.  I'm happy to bring to life a memory they have. Sept 2011.

This is a work I did in October.  It is in a Juried Art Show.  The opening is Jan 6th at Outside The Lines
art gallery in downtown Dubuque.  It will show their until end of Febuary.  This show features many local artists all depicting something to do with the Mississippi. My work is based on a photo I took this summer on the river.  I hope you will go see it at the gallery!!

This work I did many years ago and still have.  I love it and forgot about doing it.  I did a series of women's portraits.  That was a good learning experience.

Artist Statment

I'm passionate about the idea of creating something from scratch. Using raw materials such as paint, fabric, clay, paper, food ect, and turning those materials into something beautiful functional, or even playful.
I have always been acutly observant of the world around me, espesially nature. As a child I would escape into the woods behind my house and examine everything. I still love to do that!
As a artist I get to capture the world as I see it. My work continues to be a journey of letting myself go and letting to divine flow thru my brush to capture the subject of my work.
I have been given a gift and feel priveleged everyday to paint the experiences I encounter in life, as a artist, mother, explorer, and woman.
I hope you will take time to ponder and take pleasure in the landscapes, still lives, and murals in my porfolio and gallery pages.
I founded my buisness Mural Inspirations because of my passion to create. I put the word inspiration in the title of my buisness because creating paintings or murals is truly inspiring to me and I hope for those who view my work. I also want to promote other artists and to promote art in general in my community.
I learned how to create from my Mom. She is definitaly a do it yourselfer. I grew up watching her tackle all sorts of creative projects. She is a self tought artist from a little town in Wisconson. She has been painting for 50yrs and still going strong. She continues to sell her work all over the country and in our local community. She is definitaly an inspiration and so is her work.
I will continue to paint and create as long as I can too. I hope as long as my Mom.
